Van Morrison ha anunciado la edición de un nuevo álbum para octubre, “Three Chords and the Truth”. Van estrecha los plazos de entrega entre discos, y va a ser su quinto LP de estudio en apenas dos años. Exagerado.
El legendario cantante, compositor e intérprete irlandés también ha presentado el primer single del trabajo ‘Dark Night of the Soul’ y ha revelado algunos detalles del LP.
El disco lo va a lanzar online, en CD y vinilo Exile / Caroline International el próximo 25 de octubre. El álbum contiene 14 nuevas composiciones originales que encapsulan el sonido clásico de Van Morrison.
Van Morrison ha producido y escrito “Three Chords And The Truth”, a excepción de una canción, ‘If We Wait for Mountains’, co-escrita con Don Black.
El álbum cuenta con la colaboración del legendario guitarrista Jay Berliner y un dueto con Bill Medley de los Righteous Brothers en ‘Fame Will Eat the Soul’.
Sobre el proceso de grabación, ha dicho Morrison:
“Cuando tocan, simplemente conectas con el feeling… Es como si me leyeran. Así que creo que hay algo más que esa conexión”.
El artista de Belfast anunció recientemente una temporada de cinco noches en el London Palladium y estará de gira durante el próximo año (abajo fechas).
