Paul McCartney y Ringo Starr asistieron y actuaron en el concierto. McCartney admitió haber tenido algunas dudas iniciales sobre el proyecto:
“¿Qué puedo decir sobre esta noche, es simplemente increíble […] Al principio, cuando me pidieron que hiciera el programa, me preguntaba si era lo correcto”. ¿Era decoroso homenajearte a ti mismo? Pero vi a un par de estadounidenses que me dijeron: ‘No entiendes el impacto de esa aparición en el programa en Estados Unidos’. No me di cuenta de eso”.
