Spotify ha revelado sus datos objetivos sobre los artistas y canciones más importantes de la última década. Son datos muy ilustrativos de cuales son los gustos mayoritarios reales hoy en día.

Drake y Ed Sheeran han sido para la popular plataforma de streaming los artistas más populares de los años diez. Ocupan respectivamente los puestos número 1 y número 2 como los artistas más escuchados de Spotify en los últimos 10 años. Les siguen Post Malone, Ariana Grande y Eminem cerrando el Top 5.
En cuanto a las canciones más escuchadas, Sheeran se sitúa por encima de Drake con ‘Shape Of You’ que ha registrado la friolera de 2.400 millones de streamings, superando de largo los 1.700 millones que tiene ‘One Dance’ del artista canadiense.
La tercera más oída de la década ha sido ‘Rockstar’ de Post Malone, con ‘Closer’ de The Chainsmokers en el cuatro y ‘Thinking Out Loud’ de Sheeran en el 5.
En cuanto a 2019, Sheeran también reina como el acto más popular del Reino Unido. Las canciones más importantes en UK de este año provienen han sido ‘Someone You Loved’ de Lewis Capaldi y ‘Bad Guy’ de Billie Eilish en el nº 2.
De Eilish es también el álbum más escuchado de 2019 a nivel mundial, su primer LP ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? y Lewis Capaldi encabeza la lista de los álbumes más escuchados del Reino Unido con su debut, ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’.
