El gran álbum de Aretha Franklin “I never loved a man the way i love you”, en el sello Atlantic y del año 1967 ha sido elegido como el mejor álbum de todos los tiempos firmado por una mujer.

En el álbum, se encontraba su asombrosa versión del ‘Respect’ de Otis Redding, otra del ‘Good Times’ de Sam Cooke, ‘A change is gonna come’ y el increíble ‘Drown on my own tears’ de Henry Glover.
El álbum estaba producido por el gran Jerry Wexler y, por supuesto, con Tom Dowd de ingeniero y, por supuesto, grabado en los mágicos estudios Muscle Schoals, en Alabama.
Se puede considerar lógico el numero dos de Joni Mitchell con Blue y el numero tres de Dusty Springflield con Dusty in Menphis. El resto es una locura.
La más grande tontería ha sido incluir como álbumes de mujeres a los Fleetwood Mac y los Pretenders, entre otros. Y meter al grupo Bikini Kill, como entre los grandes. Una lista llena de álbumes que no se pueden entender y un desprecio absoluto a los años setenta y años ochenta. Increíble.
