Storm Thogerson murió  a los 69 años, tras una larga batalla contra el cáncer.

Murió  silenciosamente, con su modestia habitual, como firmando su muerte como Hipgnosis, como firmaba sus maravillosas obras de arte, que eran sus portadas de los discos.

Ya no son una serie de portadas para Pink Floyd y su más conocida, “Dark side of the Moon”. Podemos poner cientos de casos desde Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, Muse, hasta Cranberries y Biffy Clyro.

Era un genio de la imagen. Parce ser que esta fue su última obra. Otra genialidad para cualquier portada de un grupo:

Cuando murió Storm ,  sólo el manager de Pink Floyd se atrevió a dar la noticia a los medios.

Naturalmente, Dave Gilmour ha dicho que Storm formaba parte del grupo, porque con sus ideas visuales era uno más de ellos.
