Faces ya tienen preparada su box set integral de estudio, en vinilo, para ser editada el 28 de agosto.
‘1970-1975: You Can Make Me Dance, Sing or Anything’, lleva sus cuatro LPs de estudio más un quinto disco extra con canciones de singles. Además el set incluye outtakes, ensayos y rarezas.
La caja se llama, más o menos, como el último single que editó el grupo, pero acortado. El título original de aquella cara A era: “You Can Make Me Dance, Sing or Anything (Even Take the Dog for a Walk, Mend a Fuse, Fold Away the Ironing Board, or any Other Domestic Short Comings)”. Obviamente, demasiado largo para titular una box set.
Tan sólo faltaría el directo “Coast To Coast. Overture and Beginners” de 1974, para que fuese la verdadera caja integral de Faces.
Los álbumes son ‘First Step’ (1970), ‘Long Player’ (1971), ‘A Nod Is as Good as a Wink…to a Blind Horse’ (1971) y ‘Ooh La La’ (1973), además del disco añadido.
Todos discos con Rod Stewart como cantante, Ron Wood en la guitarra, Ronnie Lane y Tetsu Yamauchi como bajistas, Ian Mclagan en los teclados y Kenney Jones a la batería, y reproduciendo el artwok original casi hasta el más mínimo detalle (troquelado y ojos que se mueven en portada de “Ooh La La”, incluidos).
Faces se separaron en 1975, y se reunieron en 2010 para hacer una serie de conciertos, pero sin Rod Stewart, le sustituyó Mick Hucknall de Simply Red. Incluso fue Hucknall el que cantó “Stay With Me”, en la ceremonia de ingreso del grupo en el Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame dos años más tarde. Rod querría haber estado allí pero una inoportuna gripe se lo impidió.
