, uno de los grandes clásicos de la música norteamericana, regresa con su primer álbum de canciones originales en más de 13 años, “The Tree Of Forgiveness”, que estará a la venta en las tiendas precisamente el 13 de abril a través del sello Oh Boy. 

Es el primer álbum que saca Prine con material nuevo desde “Fair & Square” de 2005, desde entonces sólo había publicado discos en colaboración con otros artistas o material estándar.

El disco lo ha producido Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Mary Chapin Carpenter) y ha sido grabado en el estudio A de RCA en Nashville. “The Tree Of Forgiveness” incluye canciones escritas con Dan Auerbach, Pat McLaughlin, Roger Cook, Keith Sykes e incluso Phil Spector, y tiene como invitados especiales a Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires y Brandi Carlile.

A partir de la edición del LP y durante el resto de 2018, John Prine estará de gira, con varios invitados especiales en varias fechas: Sturgill Simpson, Milk Carton Kids, Tyler Childers, Sam Outlaw, Margo Price, Colter Wall, Amanda Shires y Valerie June, entre otros.

Como curiosidad, cada entrada a los conciertos de prine va a incluir una copia en CD de “The Tree of Forgiveness”.
