Black Sabbath anuncian la reedición en marzo de sus dos primeros álbumes con Ronnie James Dio como cantante, “Heaven and Hell” de 1980 y “Mob Rules” de 1981.
Dio se unió oficialmente al grupo en 1979, reemplazando al cantante original, que más tarde regresó a la banda, Ozzy Osbourne. Junto con el guitarrista Tony Iommi, el bajista Geezer Butler y el baterista Bill Ward, Dio dotó de un nuevo dinamismo al sonido clásico de la banda, con un material resultante que resultó ser de los más fuertes de la historia del catálogo de Sabbath.
“Heaven and Hell” marcó su triunfante debut con el grupo con temas clásicos como “Neon Knights”, “Die Young” y la canción titular, con críticas positivas y buenas ventas.
Su continuación fue “Mob Rules”, que también incluyó por primera vez al baterista Vinnie Appice en las recoradadas “The Sign of the Southern Cross” y “Turn Up the Night”.
Ambos álbumes van a salir remasterizados, en ediciones de lujo que incluyen un amplio material extra en formato CD, vinilo y digital a la venta el 5 de marzo.
El primero de ellos incluye versiones en directo de “Children of the Sea” y “Neon Knights”, que no se habían publicado anteriormente en América del Norte, y el segundo ofrece un concierto completo grabado en 1982 en Portland, Oregón, completamente inédito.
